What is Cold Porcelain?
Cold porcelain is an artisanal, non-toxic, and non-edible modeling paste. Unlike traditional ceramic, it is air-dried and does not require baking. The result is a lightweight, durable, and highly detailed piece that serves as a permanent keepsake.
Does Modelaria ship internationally?
Yes! We are based in Germany and ship to all of Europe via DHL. If you are outside of Europe, please contact us directly before ordering so we can provide you with a custom shipping quote.
Can I order a customized item that isn’t on the website?
Absolutely! We love new challenges. If you have a specific theme (zoo, circus, favorite character, pet or person, etc.) or a unique idea, feel free to contact us. We can customize colors, skin tones, hair, and accessories to match your vision.
How far in advance should I place my order?
Because every item is individually handmade and requires natural drying time, we recommend ordering at least 3 months in advance for large party orders or complex cake toppers. For smaller, fewer items, please check the production time listed on the product page (currently on Etsy).
When does the production time start?
Production begins as soon as your payment is confirmed. For personalized orders, please ensure you send us your specifications (names, colors, etc.) within 5 business days to avoid order cancellation.
Can I return a personalized item?
According to EU regulations, the 14-day return policy does not apply to custom-made or personalized goods. Since these items are made specifically for you (with unique names, colors, or themes), they cannot be resold. Returns are only accepted in the case of a production error, which should be requested immediately after receiving the product.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
We pack every order aiming to ensure its safety. However, if an item arrives broken, please email us with a photo immediately. We will evaluate the damage and provide instructions for repair or discuss a replacement, if applicable.
